Palo Santo when translated from Spanish means Holy Wood. It's one of the most fragrant woods in the world, with sweet notes of pine, mint and lemon.

The Palo Santo tree (Bursera Graveolens) lives for 80-90 year. In order for the tree to gain its fragrance and healing properties, it must have died naturally and left in its natural habitat for a minimum of 5-8 years to complete it's metamorphosis and for the oils in the heartwood to mature. Only then does its sacred, essential oils and medicinal qualities come alive.

Our premium Peruvian Palo Santo is sustainably harvested and ethically grown, hand cut from the heartwood of these naturally fallen trees. Each stick is unique, even taking on the shape of the whittle. We work directly with a small, independent native family who not only cultivate, but also replant these trees in the wild.
